I am not familiar with the Olds BB motors. Have always owned Chev 454's. Came across 2 '65 Delta 88's, with the 425, locally and worder if the motors are worth much. How do they compare to the 454?

You know what we will say, we are an Olds site . The 425 is a very solid engine and a great torque monster, as are all the Big Blocks. We like our big blocks here. I think in my area I have seen some long blocks for $300 to $400 depending on how complete and what condition they were in. I could have bought a complete '67 Delmont with a 425, console shift and buckets seats for $600 but I didn't have that much cash and only wanted the console. Now I wish I had started mowing lawns at night or something to afford it. Oh well.....
