Hi I am in Australia I have the chance to get a 455 Olds engine in need of reconditioning and am going to fit it to my 60 olds in place of the 394 engine. I will be in the U.S.A. in a months time,what I want to know the availability of speed equipment available over there heads ,hi-rise manifolds,headers ,roller rockers ,race cams,comp pistons,the whole works.I will be on the west coast in Califonia Nevada Oregon etc .If any one of you guy,s there can give me some addresses where I can get these parts I would be most greatful cheers and thanks Chevyman

 

Hipo parts for the 455 are available, but your biggest problem will be the need to fabricate motor mounts for that 1960 frame. The 394 used a front motor mount and rear side mounts on the bellhousing. The 455 is designed for side mounts on the block and a rear mount at the tail of the trans. There is no dedicated swap kit,however others have adapted universal crossmembers.
