350 swap in place of a 455?
#3
What year and model of car do you want to make this swap in? I agree with coppertopgmc, I've made the swap a couple times and its not hard. The key I've found is that if you are keeping the 350 metal perches that are bolted to the crossmember of the frame, then you need to use 350 rubber motor mounts. If you want to change over to the 455 metal perches, then use the 455 rubber mounts. I've done this swap in 1968-72 Cutlass's and I don't think I had to change the brackets. On one I did need to take the pullys off the 350 and put them on the 455 to get the belts to line up with the power steering pump. If you get into it and find problems, I'm sure there's lots of guys here who can share their experience. John
