455 question

i have a 1968 olds delta with the 455 2 barrel, obviously the induction is holding the engine back,i was wondering how the lower compression(9To1)2 barrel heads would respond to a 4 barrel upgrade,i have dual exhaust, and otherwise the car is all stock,i also picked up a pertronix flame thrower h.e.i.,and have yet to upgrade to that,i have read i must run some new wiring, any help would be greatly appreciated,i have a very limited budget, like many these days!

A 4V manifold and carb, would give you a small improvement. Your distributor requires 1 wire change, it needs full voltage to operate. There are many ways and many threads pertaining to this install.
