455 Operating Temp

Just bought a '71 442. Coolant temp runs about 190 degrees when traveling at speed and goes up to 200 to 210 at stop lights. This seems high to me. What should the temp be normally??

With a 16 PSI cap and cooling system, water boils at over 250 deg F. Stop worrying about this.

The best thing to do is pull the temp gage out and throw it in the trash.
