455 non air pulley/belt issue

I have the following pulley arrangement on my non air 455.

Crank Pulley - KJ
Water Pump Pulley - KM
Steering Pump Pulley - KG

The pulleys line up perfectly but the power steering belt does not seem to fit. It is a MM code belt that measures 43 1/2". With the pump loosened and pushed all the way towards the water pump pulley, I am unable to get the belt on all three pulleys. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same issue with my 71 442, so I ended up using a Delco belt with the cogs on the underside. Another one of those repro parts that doesn't fit. I thought I was the only one as I hadn't read about anyone else having the problem. The Delco belt was an inch or so bigger, making all the difference. I don't like the cogs, but at least they were on the underside only.

Can't you just get a bigger belt?

Definitely could get a bigger belt. Just making sure I didn't screw something up. The assembly manual shows the MM belt fitting my application.
