455 crank with the small CN mark?

The 455 that I want build, came with a Crank that had a small CN cast into the crank. Is this crank as strong as the large N letter cranks?

The engine came out of a 1973 delta 88, I just pulled it apart to day and every thing looks real good. Was a little when I could not find the big N on the crank. I found a small CN does the small CN stands for cast nodular.
Is there stronger and weaker 455 blocks or are they all the same? How does a 1973 F block rank for a performance build?
Thanks
Bernhard

That crank is fine. Yes it's a nodular iron crank.
Most of the ones I've seen like that have more taken out of the rod throw, it makes them a bit lighter.
That block and crank are fine, go for it.

this is just a note from a few engine builders and nos the older nos corporation with real experience in racing not bs that crank can handle a dam good load and i have one and have had no problems also with nos. they say these cranks are almost as strong as the steel cranks and i believe that, but I would not push it to the end to find out. we as a group do not want to find out the hardway and if somebody else has done it through racing experience why not listen to them! lessons through somebody else are much less expensive we have to listen sometime.
