Just bought a used engine stand at a swap meet but the bolts to attach it to the stand are missing.Want to bolt up a 455. What bolts do I need to get? What size? What grade? How long? Etc. Thanks

The length of the bolt will be determined by how long the stand-offs are on the engine stand (the stand-off being what the bolt must go through to attach to the engine). You will want a bolt that is 3/4 inch longer than the stand-off. 3/8ths 16 NC thread, with a 9/16ths head, GRADE 5 minimum.
Mine are 3 1/2 inches on my one stand, 4 1/2" on the other engine stand, overall length.
Get some good thick washers for it too.

Grade 8 3/8" SAE course get the length at least long enough to go through a few (3-4) fender washers and 1" into the block. I always buy them to long and use a pile of fender washer to shim out for the proper depth but that's just me.

The bolts aren't missing. Engine stands don't come with these bolts because different engines have different size bellhousing bolt threads. Just buy the ones you need.
