394 Oil Pan

Can I use an oil pan from a 63-64 on a 61 394? I noticed that the 63-64 does not have that can sticking out the side like my 61 does.

It seems that the oil pan gasket sets for the 394's are grouped from 1959-1962 and from 1963-1964. So there may be some difference with bolt hole spacing, or the shape of the oil pan rails.
