371 heads on a 394?

hi. Iv got a 1957 371 that had a rod go through the block a number of decades ago. I have the chance to buy a 394. The 394 is a 59-60 going by the exhaust manifold bolt pattern. It doesn’t have any rocker gear on the 394. Can the rocker gear from the 371 be used on the 394 heads? If not, can the entire 371 heads be used on the 394 block?
thanks

Carburetor On A 57 371 4 Barrel Intake

I recenyly bought a 57 Super 88 that came with an Edelbrock 1406 carburetor and I can't seem to get the idle to come down no matter what I do? I have plugged off all auxillary ports to no avail and frankly am out of ideas what can be wrong. I'm thinking maybe the adapter plate is not the correct one. How can I get the correct set up?

So in your opinion ‘57 371 heads can go on a 394?

This has been discussed before. The answer is still NO. Run a "Parts Wanted" ad for 394 valve gear or for a '57-58 block. There is probably serviceable parts out there.
