Valve covers are all the same (though later ones only use five bolts instead of the normal). The oil pan will physically bolt up, but BBO pans have some additional bulges that the SBO pans do not. I am willing to bet that an aftermaket chrome oil pan is marketed to fit either. The dipstick tube will also fit the BBO but the length will be shorter than normal. The dipstick and tube need to be used as a matched set. In any case, you should start with a complete drain of the oil pan, fill with five new quarts, start the engine briefly, let the oil drain back into the pan for 15 minutes or so, then check the level on the new dipstick. If necessary, just scribe a new line.

Not very well. The taller deck height of the BBO will likely cause fitment problems. Usually the collectors will hit the bottom of the firewall or the bellhousing.

Hummm, well joe my 330 now has a mechanical cam in it and the edelbrock rpm performer w/eldelbrocks 600cfm, am looking to lowering the compression ratio to 9 to 1 by installing a redone set of 75/350 heads that has had the egr bumps ground out and putting in mondello's 20-22 hydrolic cam with there steel head gasket's and lifter's with new studs and guides and roller tip rocker's, then comes this 455, all this in mine to run 87 or 91 pump gas and yet still be able to go on trips, am not racing the car just wanting nice sounding and reliable car she hate's walking on any freeway, what to do?...help please......jim
