350 to 455 accessories swap

I believe all of the accessories will swap from my 1971 350 to a 455 I'm building.??? My 350 is without AC. The waterpump I have on now is a casting 384783 I believe this OL is 5.07. I'm Looking up pumps for the 455 and the one Without AC is 5.09. Is this enough to matter? What PN would anyone recommend. This is for a high performance build. Thanks in Advance

Yes, but Try to keep it simple.

Use one...or the other. Don't mix the components.

If at all possible, use a local parts store, so you can compare lengths before purchasing.

Hope that helps.

Those water pumps are the same. Most vendors show them as 5.1". Be sure to use the pulleys that match the pump. The non-A/C alternator top bracket has two holes where the strut that runs to the water pump stud attaches to the bracket. You need to use the hole that is closest to the pump for a BBO. Same thing for the triangular bracket that runs from the back of the PS pump bracket to the first exhaust manifold bolt. There are two holes where it can bolt to the manifold bolt - one for BBO and one for SBO - to account for the deck height difference.

Sweet sounds good. What's a good spot to find the 5 inch pump on the web?. Nowhere local has it.

Check just about any auto parts store. RockAuto.com is a good online source.

Airtex 773 or equivalent. Look for a 1967 Olds 442 without A/C. RockAuto has them.

I have a new 5.07 pump that I was going to use to keep the fan a little further from the radiator on the 64 Vista but the fan I am using hit the power steering nut. I installed it on the 455, had the fan issue and took it off. I did paint it blue but it never ran. $65 plus shipping if interested.

Did a similar swap. Put a 455 in replacing the 76 olds 350 and swapped over the accessory brackets for power steering, alternator and a/c. I used the pulleys from the olds 350 so the belts would match up. The car's a/c was on the passenger side of the motor.
If you are still looking for all the brackets try http://www.classic-olds.com/ He helped me out with what I needed.
Only thing that was different was the cradle for the delco a/c compressor. I had to acquire from a junkyard.
Lucky for me the 455 was an available option in 1976, so i ordered the stock replacement water pump for the 455 for that year..
