1968-1970 Coolant Recovery Tank

I currently have an aftermarket tank on my 1970 98. I know it didn't come with it, but I had it puke a couple of times and just preferred not having it on the garage floor if it did. Has anyone put the reproduction ones in a full-size car? Will they fit correctly in front of the passenger fender well?

They don't take up that much room. There must be a spot you can put one.

The one from the parts store sits in there right now. I was just looking at the reproduction of the dealer installed one.

Here's a pic of a dealer installed one in my 1970 A-bod.

Okay, I'm pretty sure I have the same amount of space in the 98. Just not sure about mounting holes.

The mounting is just to that bracket and it rests on the fender well. The bracket itself mounts to the core support with two self tappers (makes its own holes).

If you need one. I'm going to install one in my 70 W as well. Oldsmobiles hate heat and humidity here in Central Texas.

I've got an NOS one I plan to use in my car. But I can take pictures of it for you. I think it has the installation instructions with it. John

Cool, I always see them in Cutlasses but not full sizes.

Here's the NOS one I have. I purchased it from a fellow member here long ago and plan to use it on my 1969 Delta Royale. But this will give you an idea what the factory one looks like and how it mounts. Let me know if you'd like to see any additional photos or views that may not be clear here. John

Does yours not work properly?
Do you just not like the look?

It works, just think the Olds one would look better.
