question: left rear door will not latch shut....first, i understand that i will have to take the door panel off....what my question is ---- is the latch assembly all one unit ? ( meaning is this referred to as the door actuator )

also, if any of you replaced one of these assemblies before, where did you acquire the part ? dealership junk yard or on line

well in case anyone runs into this problem, it's an easy fix. about an hour invested and spent $26 on a door lock actuator.......... problem solved.
