'01 Aurora keyless programming

I've searched on google and found about 3 different ways to do it, none of which work.

Does anyone know how to do it for real??

TIA

Dan

I know from experience it is a P.I.T.A. All the steps has to be done within a certain time frame or it won't work.

The one I did was an '03 Poncho and a '01 Tahoe, so I'm not sure if this will work but I found this to try...

Instructions

  1.
    • 1 Enter your Aurora with your ignition key and keyless remote in hand and close all of the car's doors behind you.
    • 2 Insert and remove the key from the ignition.
    • 3 Press and hold the "Unlock" tab on the driver's side door and be prepared to hold it pressed through the following step.
    • 4 Insert and remove the key from the ignition three times in a row and release the "Unlock" tab after the third time. Wait for the vehicle to emit three beeps, indicating the beginning of the programming sequence.
    • 5 Press and hold the "Unlock" and "Lock" buttons on your keyless remote until the system beeps again, indicating that the programming of the remote was successful.
    • 6 Repeat step 5 with any additional remotes, and remove the key from the ignition to end the programming sequence.

Are you having trouble with your original or what is the purpose of needing to do this?

The original still works, just trying to add a second remote.

Gotcha, I wasn't sure if you were maybe having other probs like the passlock or maybe ignition not reading the chip in the key or something.

I bet if you take it to a Buick dealer, someone there would know how to do it, and probably for free! Seems that in this case the internet is not correct!

Dealer only, unless you have the means to plug into the computer.
