I have a '67 442 W-30 that I've been running H70-14 Goodyear Polyglas RWL tires on 14x6" SSIs for years. I know F70-14 "redline" tires were stock, but what were they originally - Goodyear / Firestone / other?

Anyone have an original spare in their trunk?

VIN# 338177m258924 built 02C (February 1967 3rd week)

Does my car look familiar to anyone? It was in northeast Ohio and/or northwest PA. It had a 12"-14" white "bumblebee" stripe around the rear at one time.

 

Judging by the paperwork that came with my 67 442, I believe it came with 7.75-14 U.S. Royal whitewall tires.

I think the F70-14 tires didn't show up till the 68 model year.

 

In sept 66 I purchased a 67 with ss1's and they were Firestone,wide-oval redlines.

 

I spent some time rummaging thru the library at www.wildaboutcars.com and found the following: (if I'm reading this correctly)
