Hi everyone, new guy from CO. A few months back I made a great shed find, from a guy whos father passed while he was in the process of restoring the car. I am guessing the work began sometime in the 90's. Body / frame off restoration, with what looks like all new parts. I had my paint guy check the body and the panels, doors, etc. are all 100% and all original with zero rust / bubbling. The car has been jambed with Sherwood Green. We are looking for the speedo head to determine the actual mileage. There are boxes of parts that came with the car (boxes and boxes and piles and piles of parts, original fenders, bumpers, original fiberglass hood with dual scoops, shifters, interior, etc. The rear axle is either from a W30 or has a W30 diff cover. The engine looks to be a crate replacement, with no stamping #s on the block. 90% of the parts in boxes are AC Delco original parts. All the trim was wrapped in newspaper from 1990, so I believe that is when he started the restoration. The seller (guys son) also had pics of the car when his Dad bought it new in 1970. Looking to learn more about these cars and figure out the remaining assembly and then sending her off for Sherwood Green paint and (maybe) a white top! Please feel free to chime in, I would like to hear everyone's feedback.

I went in with a friend of mine on the initial purchase. The thought was to split the upfront / resto cost, then figure out if one of us wanted to buy out the other. Or if we would just sell it. Are you from Colorado? Did you buy the red convertible from us?
Post a picture of the vin tag on the dash, the cowl tag, and the engine vin pad, and the transmission vin pad. Also, the casting code on the top of the engine behind the water pump, and the letter on the bottom left hand corner of the heads, right by the valve cover perimeter.
A lot of "442s" are actually Cutlasses where someone put on badges and a bigger engine. If your car is a Cutlass VIN, the L33 2 barrel 320 hp 455 was the biggest engine it could have. That appears to be a quadrajet on there, and I presume it's a 455. Giving us the data on the car will help us help you. If the VIN pad on the engine is blank, it could have been ground off, or it could have been never stamped. A picture will help us determine that.
