Brake booster..

Hi again, on a brake booster if I use a hand vacuum pump to simulate engine vacuum on the booster, I suppose it should hold vacuum right ?

I did that and it doesn't hold, the hose and check valve are ok. The brake pedal travel is very short and pretty hard.

Thank you

Chances are your booster is bad.

With a bright flashlight, can you visualize any leakage/seepage from or around the booster? It could be a tell tale sign but still if no leakage/seepage it doesn't rule out a bad booster.

Can you hear it with the engine running?
The seal between the master and booster may be leaking.

I can't start it because I'm waiting for the fuel line, but I will do that, thanks
