Newbie from NE Alabama

A little about me..Im 23, been working on cars my whole life, I currently have a 58 Vette, 66 Tempest, 69 Bird, and now a 66 442. My dad died from cancer a few years ago and its a long story how i got the 442 but i know nothing about them. To get to the point the car is a white with red interior 442 with a black top , it has the 3 duces set up on the motor( never cranked), factory Tach and Vacum gauge, everything is brand new,(everything). The car is painted inside and out, the top is done, the motor is done and installed with the 4 speed driveshaft and exhaust, the frame is done, all i have to do is put the wireing harness in it, all the A/C stuff along with the radiator, distrubitor, alternator, PS pump ,inner fenders, Fenders, hood and the chrome. The Core support is already bolted up with the head lights in. Since we have so much money in this car, it needs to be done right (as possible), so what i am tring to do is get some pictures of other 442's , anything similar to what i have, and what i need to do, Wires, A/C, Stuff like that. If possible you could Email me at Rosseroffroad@yahoo.com. And if any one knows what would a car like this be worth (rough estimate), if done about 95% right.

Welcome to CO. You may get quite a bit of help here. Your car sounds very promising. Good luck with it.

Welcome! Nice Olds you're working on. We like pics, so please indulge us. There is always someone here to answer specific questions.

So you haven't been working on cars very long? (Please excuse us for snickering when you say "all my life" and that you are 23)
Seriously, we're always quite glad to see a young guy like you involved with the classics.

Im from Oxford Al, just off of I-20 about an hour form ATL. If you want to see a few pics of the 442 the go to Myspace.com/rosseroffroad click on my picture or click on the word pictures and then go to the album 442. this should work.

Kurt speaks the truth. I haven't been run off or our site yet by old geezers with canes and walkers and I am 29. Of course, it could be that Oldsguy is just too old. He is a grandpa BTW.

I was looking for the last post you used that in Jamesbo but I couldn't find it!

Hey, I've been bigger than my OLD MAN (at least in the vertical dimensions) for quite awhile. Hope I never catch up to him in the horizontal dimension.

Time

I remember my dad telling me things about getting older , I didn't believe him then cause I was young and indestructable but time has a way of changing ones mind. Now I wish I was as energenic as he was at my current age. I always say that I got to rest my head cause all that stored info gets heavier as we age
