The remote factory choke does not work on 1968 Olds 455, needs new coil I suppose, any ideas where to get new one. They seem ridiculously expensive!

 

They are expensive because they were only used for two model years and are not frequently purchased. Be thankful that they are available at all. More to the point, are you SURE the problem is the choke coil and not something else?
