66 Tricarb California Emissions
I purchased an unrestored 66 442 tricarb in 1996. I restored it and still have it. It came with some of the components for the California emissions. Namely the center carb air cleaner with the inlet tube in the base and the brass fitting that goes to the valve cover. In my research of the vehicle, I learned that it was sold by the original owner to a man in Salt Lake City around 1968 or 1969. I have seen a lot of tricarb 66's but have never seen one with the Calif setup. I am wondering if it is rare and if cars sold in Utah in 1966 would have to comply with Calif emissions?
