AWESOME project!!

Is the SSII in the trunk original to the car? Is that the only one you got with the purchase?
check out the lug wrench location

What's the date (DOT code) on the Goodyear SPEEDWAY & date stamped on the wheel (by the valve stem)?

I always thought the no center vent was '68 only, but that is based on limited knowledge. Maybe it's a '69 post coupe configuration because of the vent windows.

That's where it is located on a 70, is it different on a 69?

('68) SSIIs look GREAT!!
are both of these SPEEDWAYs from the W30? are they blackwall?

first digit: U & J both = 1969
second digit: U = February & F = March
05 = Gadsden, AL Goodyear Tire plant

they are both raised white letters wide treads goodyear. I believe one was the spare and the other was on the car. both were flipped to show the black side of the tire

what have you found in respect to the numbers on the car's components?

date on the SSII that was in the trunk?

have you solved the "C" head questions?

Saw that on eBay when it was listed and told my wife that it wouldn't last long. Was wondering if I would see it on here.

originality

this is one of the most original cars that i have bought in a long time, All the engine and drive train is original to the car. the car has set 37 years but not kind to the paint and interior. The sun has faded some of the interior and sun faded the tops of the door panels. All the clamps hoses and engine bay has not been changed from day one.

Nice score on that W30!!! My buddy & I both said "that won't last long on epay also" It's cool that it's a Chesrown car! That dash pad is specific to the post cars since they had the vent windows & didn't need upper dash vents. My friend Brians '70 W30 post coupe has a similar plain dash pad. Can't wait to see some resto pics!!!

bought new in Ohio. the original owner died before I bought it. Not a lot known from the family. It has 22k miles and zero rust on the body. It has been in the garage for most of its life. 4 speed bench seat car. has some original paper work and build sheet. All the numbers match. I've looked too see if it was raced but no luck on that part of its history. It was sold late in the year so I assume it was a demo car.

You have a Lansing Build Sheet for a 69 W30?

Hurst did say that he has the build sheet. I have the sheet and a couple of broadcast cards for mine as well.
