P22570R15s on my 1977 Cutlass, they fit well and look good to me. Plus, they still have enough firewall on them to contribute to the suspension chores as the tires were originally intended to do when new. If you get too much wheel and not enough tire (sidewall) you end up with a harsh ride and hard steering.

I'm running the same size on my 76 442. 225/70Rx15 is the stock tire size for my car or GR70x15 when it was new.

P245/60Rx15 work well if your springs are not worn out in front. Would not run anything wider up front though.

SS1 wheels and tires

I purchased new SS1's wheels from Wheel Vintiques (15 by 8) and B F Goodrich Radial T/A's. 235 60R 15 I like the agressive look of it now. much better for sure. And it throws this 3800 lbs around alot better. Hope this helps. Oldsdroptop
