vapor/fuel separator
hey everyone im new here, my dads got a 1970 442 vert.the other day when we went to take it out we discovered a fuel leak under the tank.we traced it out and found that it was coming off what i believe to be the vapor fuel separator. a fuel line was cracked and one of the male peices coming off of it was cracked, after further inspecting it, it seems to be in pretty bad condition.so my questions are am i correct that this black plastic box with 4 fuel lines coming into it is a fuel vapor separator???it says rochester products gm on it.also where can a new one be purchased,or could it be by-passed?
thanks in advance for any help.

First, welcome to our site. Second, try Year One, Fusick, Kanter, or even a Napa dealer. I have found that Napa carries lots of stuff other people don't. I found tune up parts for my '48 flathead six!

that sounds right to me. Although I think I removed the canister from my '69 Delta (can't really remember). Did they use them that early? If so, and I did it without using a vented cap, it worked ok, never had fuel pressure problems.
