My 1969 Olds has the rally pack dash, but the tachometer is not working and I am not tech savy enough to run down the issue.

I believe installing an aftermarket tachometer would be easier for me so I have a few questions for the crowd:

1. What tachometer (make/model) would you recommend for a Small Block Olds (SBO) with a 4-speed?

2. Any tips for hooking it up to a points/distributor car?

3. Whats the range (RPM) you would recommend for a rebuilt, but bone-stock SBO... max RPM, average power-band, etc...
