Smile Switch Pitch Photo's and Operation

If anyone is interested - I have detailed photo's and operation of the round Pitch Switch. I know this caused me some grief in the past and I am willing to share so the next person may get some help.

I have photo's with a meter attached showing when the switch contacts are engaged for the stator and kickdown functions.

All the info is available in the shop books, but pictures always help you make sense of what the book is trying to show you.

I'd say leave it here for comments for a few days and then maybe it should go in the Wiki if Joe agrees.

Geez... Just out for a morning stroll of the forum and I run across that mess.

FLUSH!!!!! (insert toilet sound here)

It's gone now, member and all!

Remember guys, use that "report post" button down in the lower left corner (red outlined triangle with a '!') if you ever run across such spam in the future. No official report was given for this one...

Yep Tony, you missed a big nasty ****-spam from overseas.
Better off you did, though...
While the listed sites of bare French brunette and blonde women might have piqued my interest, the part of "xhamster" shot it all down.

If you want action, you can find me a nice big animated GIF of a toilet flushing and I will post that whenever spam gets flushed...

BTW, some of you stay up way too late!! I'd be dead in the morning if I did that...

Hah! That sucks, some people just dont know that they're messing with the wrong Olds crowd.

Yeah i totally feel that, our office opens up at 7:00 (and the shop floor starts up at 5) so it gets pretty brutal in the morning.

I need some coffee and an 8-track of van halen to get me going.

I like this one, but it's a one time shot and doesn't repeat.

Yes, that one would be good if it repeated. Only bad thing is it's a toilet for LEFTIES!

The top one would have worked if the guy who made it used a tripod. Looks like he's dancin' around the pot or something. I won't even think of why...

Understand completely - just a reminder to all!

Actually, MD should have pushed the button, as he has been around a while.
He just yelled MODERATORS in the thread. I guess it worked, though, as I went straight to that thread for no reason. I heard the disturbance in the force, I guess!

Sorry, Rob, you're right, but I was on my way out the door late for work when I saw it, and hitting the button just didn't occur to me.

Telepathy worked, though .

My question, though, is whether that spam bot was drawn to this particular thread by the term "switch pitch?"

What? Confused?

All,

I am really confused.....I do actually have photo's of that switch with a drawing of the switch, the terminals clearly identified, and a meter showing switch open and closed positions.

What did I do incorrectly? I was just rying to help out.

You did not do anything wrong that I know of...

A spammer popped up and posted a huge nasty porno-spam ad in your thread, but I dumped it.
It happens now and then, not your fault. That one stirred up some laughs for sure...

If you have pictures and explanation of how this switchy pitchy thing works, I am all for having them posted. I do not know how it works, so I can learn something new.
This site is full of useful info, so more is always welcome! And no - you do not need permission to post useful stuff!

Yeah, if you have anything useful to tell, just organize it as best you can and post it up with a descriptive title that will help others find it later.

Even if nobody notices it right away, it may help someone a year or two down the road.

For a great example, check out Rob's threads - some of the how-to's he's put up have been sensational!

...and no fatalities either - I am on a roll!
Of course I always stand behind my work. - Usually 50-60 feet behind just to be safe!
