Hi guys, my friend's 71 442 is stock with the top down, you can ear the top motor if you press the top down switch, but nothing
in the up position. Is there a way to bypass the switch temporarily to close the top so he can move the car to my house.... it's getting cold here !!

Assuming the wiring harness has power and just the switch is bad, 1 easy way might be to get a new switch and just hang it down from the dash until time available to replace the old one with it.

they run about $70 from several sources - ebay has them and/or they're available directly from various Olds parts vendors.
