performance intake help 69 442

guys i need info from you all im looking into changing from the stock intake to one with a little more power im going with msd distributor has anyone changed theirs and had good luck or bad? i have a 400 6.6 v8 any help would greatly be appreciated thanks guys

Your manifold choice needs to be based on the components of your engine/drivetrain for it to work together. There is no real performance improvement just by changing distributors.

So it is a 4 spd engine rebuilt with the slightest bit of a cam 10 over i believe also headers with 2 1/2 inch exhaust i can post more info if needed.thanks for the help.

What rear end gears? How will you use the car? What carb?

A Performer is the better choice for a street-driven car. A Torker is probably better for the drag strip.

Alright rear end gear 3.91. The carb im putting on is a demon. 725 road.. Weekend driver .maybe a road trip or two . guys thanks for the info.

The edelbrock performer is probably your best bet.
