Original 68 442 w-30 air cleaner - worth?

Original 68 442 w-30 air cleaner - worth?

I have an original w-30 air cleaner with the chrome top that I pulled from a 1968 442 about 25 years ago. chrome top has some rust pitting. What is it worth? I am interested in seelign it since I have no use for it.

Do a search on ebay. If not just sell it to me for my 68 cheap :}

Lots of bucks my friend. Check out Parts place and Thorntons. Their prices start in around the 400.00 mark and go up up up.

theirs are licensed repros. You have an OEM. It's worth more if it's in good shape. Post some pictures so the guys can have a look. The info I'm giving you is based on it being in top notch condition and a complete unit.

When searching ebay for price comparisons, do not confuse asking price with actual selling price. I like to check "completed auctions" every so often. When you do, you'll find that very few of the high dollar cars ever do sell, and often those that have supposedly sold are relisted within weeks. Unfortunately many people see these asking prices and assume their stuff is worth just as much.

I finally got around to taking some pictures. Yes it has some rust but it is all original. I personally took it off a 68 w-30 442, about 25 years ago so it is real. I had kept it in the garage. What does someone think I could get for it?

It has some surface rust on some spots but it is in no way rusted through. The two vacuum diaphrams are functional and working. I checked them with a hand vaccum pump. I didnt post a picture of the lid. It is chrome but pitted and a new one can be obtained inexpensively. I would throw the old one with the base if someone wanted to rechrome it.

So how much are you asking for it? Or have you listed it for sale already?
