I crawled under a car for the last time. The crawling under isn't so bad it's the gettin up and out from under is the pain.
We picked it up this week and assembled it in a few hours. It seems like a well built unit. It is a Pro Park 8000 pound lift that sells for $2000, it included the wheels and the Ford drip pans. The total cost for me was $2000 and another $3000 for new counter tops for the kitchen.

 

Yep, must keep the other half happy too. Nice lift and they are handy. Try, telling her next on the list is to raise the garage roof so you can jack the car high enough to get a car under it as you want to buy another car On secomd thought don't unless you want to be single again.

So what is lurking under the hood of that Biscayne?

 

Once again someone got what I wanted before I got it. I guess I'll have to use the kitchen counter trick. Good idea

 

I think just about everyone here knows what kind of relief you must be feeling. Congrats on the new toy. What size is your garage? By the looks of what I can see you must have at least 9 or 10 foot ceiling, and I'm gonna take a stab at 24X30 or 24X36? That thing looks huge!

BTW, that 442 of yours is looking really nice. How bout some more pics?

 

The garage has an 11'3'' ceiling. The city allowed a 20 ft peak and 1000 Sq. feet. So my peak is about 1/4" under 20 ft. I have a full attic with a 6'3'' ceiling up there. The garage measures 24X40. I can get the Biscayne under the Olds.
The Biscayne was a project we did a couple years back. We found a rust free V8 shell and installed a 454 from a 75 Laguna. We changed the heads and installed a pair of closed chambered 1966 oval ports and a Voo Doo cam, and a 750 Holley.
With a 4 speed and 3.31 gears it ran a 12.80 @ 104.44. We just installed a New 5 speed richmond Doug nash style 5 speed and it really woke it up. I'm hoping it will run 12'60's.
I'll take a few more pics of the Olds. I have drove it over 600 miles already.
