Looking for guidance

I'd like to swap the center console top plate but for the life of me can't seem to any instructions on how to do it. Can someone point me to the correct thread or website or manual or Ronnie, who's usually down at the tavern by now (every town has a Ronnie)?

That looks like -'68-'69 automatic console. Why not just take it apart (remove the Oldsmobile emblem) and have the piece re-chromed? That's what I did and it made it look like new.

I’m looking for info on taking it apart. I'd like to do it without a lot of trial and error and the risk of damaging anything

Correctly repairing those pits in the pot metal will cost far more than a repro, which is about $200.

It was too easy, four screws. Not embarrassed, I always seem to be learning. Thanks to all
