Help with trim tag 1968 442
Hey all
I've come across a seriously abused 1968 442, but being the eternal optimist I'm looking at what it would take to revive it. I've got the book from Supercarsunlimited and was trying to key out the trim tag, but there's a few codes I can't come up with. Attached is a photo of the trim tag, the picture isn't real good. What I have keyed out is that it is a 442 holiday coupe built in Fremont, that it had black bucket seats and both the upper and lower body were saffron in color. If you can recognize anything else I would appreciate it. If I do get it I'll post photos of it and let you know what's there and what's missing. I have to shake my head as I don't understand how anybody could butcher an obviously collectable car like this. John

There is a great resource for trim tag accessory decoding at 442bro.com.
Apparently your car was built with black buckets seats and in saffron yellow (upper and lower) as you noted. B80 apparently stands for chrome roof drip moldings. Not sure what else an be gleaned from the tag.
