Help 69 442 buds ?

I need a pic of where the chrome on the bottom trunk lip attaches to the inside of the trunk lid. Just stand on your head and take a pic of where the screws go thru the underside of the trunk. I'm out of town look'in at a part and something ain't right.

Thanks

Jamesbo

Can get it for you this evening if it will still be in time. Are you looking at one of those very hard to find thin stainless trunk lip moldings?

Yes a pic of the molding might help.

I'm looking at a piece of molding but it doesn't look right and I don't have a 69 442 handy. I just need to see where the holes are in the trunk lid.

Yes,

The reason it's so hard to find is cause anyone with a brain took the stupid POS thing off and threw it in the trash.

deep breaths...

POS? deep breaths deep breaths LOL....

ok overall length is about 52 3/8ths inches, first hole ( oval) starts at 1 1/4 inches, continuing from left to right next one is at 20" then 30" last one at 50" basically the first holes are in from the edge about an 1 1/4 and there is a 20 inch spacing either side, here are the pics

Thanks Eddie,

So what are you doing w/ that piece of 442 chrome when your sig says Cutlass? Doesn't the 69 Cutlass have that great big piece at the trunk bottom?

Eddie,
Could I impose upon you to take a pic of the underside of your trunk where the holes are for the chrome?

james I wouldn't mind to take the pic I would have to empty my favourite shelf..LOL... but the lid I have has that big ol molding on it and did NOT have this piece on it... so the holes etc are not there? I have always hated that big old molding this piece came when I bought my car originally, along with the 442 bumper...that was not installed and needed chroming supposedly it was "original" to the car but I now know it isn't....

live an learn .....but I am putting it on when I get that far
