header choices
hi. I guess this might be the right spot for a question that has probably been beaten to death- Header choices.
My car is 71 olds 442 with 455 and 4 speed, power steering.
1) whats the best street header available, who and how much?
2) What's a decent cheaper header, who and how much?
3) The 184.00 dollar "stainless" headers on amazon right now can't be real can they?
My concerns are such : fitment (remember , 4 speed), power steering/steering column clearance, lowness to ground speed bump (scrape), and , does center link have to thread through these?
I know its a lot of questions, any help will be appreciated,

doug thorleys 1 and 3/4. I had a set until I needed larger tubes. they fit excellent with a mini starter. the tubes on the drivers side give excellent clearance with the brake parts and lines also.

If I could give some advice, I would go with the ball joint configuration offered by Flowmaster that turns your header flange into a modern ball/joint flange. No leaks, no gaskets, just pure awesome. I think they're a bit pricey though. I have run them on several cars and really like them.
