GM part numbers ?

I'm in the middle of installing my steering column into my 71 with dualgate shifter. I was wondering if anybody would happen to have the gm part number for the nylon sleave at the end of the shift rod that goes from the transmission to the lower shift lever on the steering column. I would also like to replace the rubber bushing that goes inside the lower shift lever on the column. The parts are shown in section 7 page 114 of the assemble manual, but I don't think these are GM part numbers. Would any body know if these are still available?

Year One sells them.......

I just looked them up on their online catalog and they carry them....it's $7.50 each and they fit turbo 350 and turbo 400 from 1967 to 1971. The part number is 936N. You can call Year One at 1-800-932-7663....hope this helps. Oldsdroptop

Thanks for the heads up, I also was looking at Year One and came across part number 9860N for $3.95. It states its original GM, and was hoping if I had the part number that I could order it locally from the GM dealer.

while we're talking about '71 dualgate shifter part #'s... would someone help me with a part # and source for the shift ball that for the '71 dualgate shifter? the prior owner tried one from Fusick, but it was the wrong thread size (too big). i am guessing that the dualgate shifter has a specific shift ball.

was the **** 'walnut' or 'black'?

The **** was black just like your photo. Someone else will have to help with the source. I thought they were generic but I haven't bought one either! John

This is a long shot, but I think that both the bushing and sleeve come together in a small kit under GM p/n 1394293. If you go to www.gmpartsdirect.com and plug in 1394293 for the part number then your price is $2.08. YearOne probably separates them and sells them individually for a small profit. So contact your dealer and ask for 1394293 and let us know. Thanks

PS. I like to see a photo of your 71 442 convertible

Texas442, thanks, 1394293 is a good part number for the bushing at the base of the steering column that comes complete with the nylon bushing that goes on the shift linkage rod. Here are some pics of the car.

Thanks Dave

Thanks for the photo of the convertible. There were 1304 71 442 convertibles made. I know this is crazy, but I am slowly making a collage of pictures of all the real ones that have VIN starting with 344671 that are known to exist.

Here is what I accumulated so far:
