Glove box

My 67 442 has a problem wit the lock on the door. Lock works fine but the whole assembly turnes as you lock or unlock it. Is there a clip missing

The escutcheon nut is loose.
there are many links on this forum on how to fix.

You need to remove the door.
Remove the tumbler and then tighten the nut.
Re-install the tumbler, etc.
Hope you have the key.

the lock housing should have two tabs that go into slots in the glove box door, I have seen more than a few broken off. tightening the nut will help but if the tabs are gone it will move again.
