I recently purchased a 1966 442 tri power convertible. There are numbers hand written on firewall, the number is 194. The same number is on the hood followed by R-1 and the spare tire has written 194. I believe the R-1 is the paint code(red). Not sure what the 194 represents. Can anyone shed a little light.

 

That is the build sequence # for that days builds.
The # will be on the fenders and console as well as other parts dedicated to that cars build.
The # will also be under the fan? rad supt.
