Hi all,
Any significance to the numbers that are stamped on the drivers side A pillar on the inside if the car? Mine reads 0593 W3. There maybe another number stamped after the 3, but it's really faint. Maybe a "0"?

I have found that before on some of my cars, and it is stamped w30. I don't have a clue what it means though, other then just a part number.

 

I think the number corresponds to the production week of the part. See if the number (week) would fall a few weeks before the build date of the car shown on the cowl tag. If so, you will find numbers like this throughout the car and they should all be within a week or two. This is another way the "numbers matching" can come into play.

 

Here ya go. The mystery explained in this thread. Don't spend time on any of the arguements, go to the parts that show the stampings and what they mean. Brian is correct about the corresponding numbers BTW.
