EB Master Cylinder Code - Correct For 70?

Just got my expanded Assembly Manual - ahem, Product Information Manual, and was going through it. I remember someone saying the master cylinder I have for my 70 W-30 is the correct original one due to the "EB" stamped on the flat. However, the PIM says the the master cylinder with power disc brakes (35JL2) should be a 5470664 (SY code?) while mine is a 5470409. Can someone let me know which is correct before I send this thing off to White Post? Thanks!

The EB stamped one is correct. What is the date on the bottom of it?

The Julian date is 306. Also, there is a "D4" after the 5070409 P/N.

Master Cylinder

From my 70 442 8-18-69 built, MC 5470409-1 1/2 * D2 date appears 230 possibly 240 which seem reasonable, EB code. Brett

Brett, thanks for the info. Since you and Jensenracing77 have both said it is the right one, I feel better. Does anyone know why the part on the car does not match the Assembly Manual call out?

Sometimes the book cannot keep up with running changes.
PIMs are a guide not the bible on assembly.
My 67 442 is a early production car and does not match with the 67 PIM that is a currently available.
I find a few 66 coded parts on the car.
