Dual Gate Mount Location

Would anyone happen to have the measurements or picture/diagram for the dual gate shifter location in a 1968 442? I also need the cable/tunnel hole location as well

Thanks, any help is appreciated.
Mike

Hi Mike - I do not have the diagramme for 1968, but the 1970 factory assembly manual has details for that year, and imagine the same would be true for 1968.
I would go to wildaboutcars.com and download the 68 assembly manual - probably section 7.

That's because it doesn't exist. The only dual gate ever installed in a 1968/69 was the one used in the H/Os, which is different from the 1970-72 shifters.

Joe,
Thanks for the information. I will try the H/O forum then.

Pcard, I appreciate your input and help as well.

Thanks, Mike

Boldsmobile,
I saw your detailed thread on the '71 shifter location. That was awesome. Unfortunately, the '68 Hurst shifter mounting is different. It seems to sit quit a bit further forward (I think). Brackets are a lot different.

Thanks for the reply. Mike
