Dad's biggest mistake: '65 442

My father, who'se about 47 now, used to have a 1965 442. It was beautiful, it ran fine and looked descent on the outside. It was probably custom painted like a dark teal. black interior, it was a 7 out of 10. Nothing a little TLC couldn't fix. But the thing was it had sentimental value. My mom bought him that car before i was ever born. i'm 18 now so you know. i loved it too. it had it's own sound and smell, i loved when he used to drive it to pick me up. my mom and him got a divorce when i was 3, and he still had it. he continued to fix it up, but money was very thin. so he made stuff for it. one of the last things he made for it was a center console. it didn't look to good to me but he loved it. so i just went with it.... when i was 14 i practically lived with him for the whole summer and worked with him. He was supposed to have a baby and had to get rid of things. he decided to get rid of some of his fav. stuff.... the car was one of them, along with a 5 year old pitbull that was his best friend. he sold his car for 5 thousand bucks! a perfectly restorable, turn key car! the kicker is he thought the motor in ther wasn't the original motor. after he sold it to some young kid going to the marines, he found out it was the original motor! and the kid turned out not to be his! all original, numbers matching '65 442 for 5000 runnning. and a cheating gf....jees! i was so mad. he regrets it but now he's got a 68 chevelle ss that he wants to get rid of. so.... that's my story, thought you might wanna hear it. thanks
