those exhaust ports look too square if i remember right my headers run a little taller and little less wider

Odds are thats not a picture of the actual header.

It's definitely an Olds header pattern on the flange. Those openings look more like Edelbrock exhaust ports than stock Olds. A stainless header for $208, what does that tell you?

Here's a set of stainless headers unpolished. They are big money. The Ebay ones look polished which should be even more money. So yes I think they are from overseas. Although that isn't necessarily a bad thing it makes me wonder about that port dimension, fitment, etc. My stainless unpolished headers cost $1k, lets just say I'm skeptical.

Joe it might be worth the $208 to see what you get, you'll have to decide that.

They seem to look like olds headers just the demensions are off but I have had luck with overseas stuff like distributors , aluminum pulleys , etc etc but for polished stainless to be that cheap I see a lot of red flags

Joe I went back and reread the add. Many red flags here. There is no mention of what years they fit or what body. At the bottom of the description paragraph it states in red Application: Chevy Compatibility

Really?

Like I said, it's your $208. It also states no instructions 'Professional Installations Only'. I'm going to guess no one has tried these or is willing to admit it, that should be your answer.

They have a recomendation for 1971 442. They have a better website to see what fits what.....

There seems to be 10 different headers to fit the various A body cars including the LT $hevy engine

i saw these headers and am also very curious about them...

i can forego the professional installation instructions, as its not really rocket science to install headers......but i am worried about clearance/fitment.

I Have tried them. The don´t fit a 68 442 Conv, with a big block without serious massaging (torch and hammer).

I think these are small block headers actually and maybee they do just fine on a small block equipped car. The reason for this oppinion are:

-Really good clearence for the starter.(Driver side)
-no place for brake line junction. (driver side)(torch, hammer)
-they hit the backside of the crossmeber (passanger side)(torch, hammer)
-they hit the rear lower bolt of the lower A-Arm (passanger side)(torch, hammer)
-They sit hi up against the floor, which I think is good)

Quality problems:
-unessesary bump at the upside of the passanger side collector.
-the head bolts did not line up (grinding both sides)
-cant use stock oil lines for transmission without bending them around the header (passanger side)

Good:
-beafy flanges
-straigt flanges
-beatiful (even after massaging)
-low price
-can remove oil filter, without other work.
-can remove starter without removing header also.

Not tried them yet, still winter here.

I started the car yesterday, no leakage and i´m supriced that they are so quiet.Very little of that hard pinging sound I suspected. I have a 2.5 flowtech X-pipe system, stainless also, and I´m happy so far. If you want pictures of the installation I will be happy to send them.

And at last. If you want more pictures tell me. This is happening in "real time"

The worst fitment issue is the brake line junktion. Of course It´s possible to change the location of that, but its a lot of work´also.

Thanks a lot. They are real stainless and brake junction problems with headers are common.
