Hi all,
on a 71 442 no ac, if I look under the dash, there's nothing that goes from the heater box to the defrost duct,
trying to figure out what I need to join them. Yes I need two flex hose but how it is connected to the heater box ?. Here's what I have (see pic from web)

I think you're missing the defrost adapter & possibly both the LH & RH defroster hoses?

You need Defroster Adapter ASM Part No. 397784
Several on eBay in various condition which physically demonstrate the part number located on the actual adapter.
Create a Parts Wanted in our Classified Section, a member may have one for sale.

If you can view the Part Number on the Adapter you are most likely guaranteed it's the correct part.

 

BTW, you can find defroster/heater hose almost anywhere at very economical pricing. I don't know if the LH side & RH side are same diameter. I think one side is 2.5". I think there's a thread w/ the diameter dimensions listed by a member. I'll see if I can find it. If so, you can buy heater hose anywhere.
