71 442 Stripe Kit

Trying to find where I can buy a 442 stripe decal kit.
I need the 3 thin white stripes that go down the side and I believe it goes to 2 on the trunk lid.

Any leads would be appreciated as I went through the search area first (now that took some time), and did not come up with any leads.

Thanks

i'd check with Phoenix Graphics. I know they supply a lot of the decal kits to the various vendors.

Haven't used them, they're just on my list of vendors. I do like that you can buy just what you want, or the whole kit.

no kits

as far as I know there are no kits for the standard 1971 stripes. I've got the twin to your car and went down that road a few years ago...i can send you the assembly manual diagram i rec'd from someone here.

pm me if you need it

FYI, from the Assembly manual. Posted for anyone who needs it. Since it's a decal, the specs aren't listed on the page. Both of the links posted have these kits. PP is cheaper by about 40 bucks.

Allan this is the stripe kit for a 72 mine has the center hood stripe. No one seems to have the 71 just like Viking says.

Thanks Viking but I have the page already. Looks like I am going to have to just go to good striper (I said striper not stripper)

bring good pics with you....of correct stripes on other cars. need a spare, mint restored hood to match yours ?

You never know when you might need another one until it's too late..

I found this thread during a search as I had the same question. AFAIK only the 'W-30' stripes are being reproduced in vinyl. My non W-30 car has the W-30 stripes and is missing the wide center stripe on the hood when it was repainted years ago. So I was interested in putting the 'correct' stripes on but I guess I'll leave it alone until it needs a repaint.

Just had my stripes done. Went from pictures and the manual.
Turned out pretty good and cost $250

Looks great! Are they all painted on? My real issue is when my car was repainted it was done in the lighter Sandlewood Gold and the Cowl tag has 53 53 so it should be Saturn Gold to be correct. So I can't really justify correcting the stripes when the whole color is wrong. Someday it will need a repaint and I guess I'll do it all then.

The hood stripe is painted the sides are vinyl. It is much easier when they are plain white.

gorgeous car for sure...I'm not sure I like the bumper guards though. I tossed mine 20 years ago. Just a random thought on a beautiful car.
