70 w30 oem hood value these days?

hey guys, I just picked up a straight in decent shape oem 1970 ram air hood...originally white, has has some light repairs as it was being prepped for a repaint, but the steel underskin is very nice shape, not cut up,its not perfect being 44 years old but its not a chinese stamped bondo'd up repop....I don't own a 70,wish i did so Im trying to find out what you guys would think would be a fair price to list it for...I can text pics to anybody who might be interested...I've seen these listed all over the map,I know they aren't cheap anymore but for a guy wanting a real oem hood its sure a great find....
thanks,cameron...714 883 6171

It really depends how fast you want to move it. I got $1500 for a pretty nice one about 5 years ago and it moved pretty fast. I've seen guys asking $2500 plus but they probably end up keeping them at that price.

Another factor is shipping. Ideally you make the buyer pick it up and crate it himself. If I as a seller had to spend the time crating a fiberglass hood and assume all the liability that goes along with it breaking during shipment anyway, I'd want to be compensated for it.

We sold 2 rough '70 hoods a couple months ago for $250.00 each, but they needed a LOT of work. I've sold better ones for $650.00 & nice ones for $1900.00. If you got it cheap, I'd hold on to it for your future '70.

Real nice ones have come down just a little. Should get $2000 for a real nice one but could take a couple months or four. Also depends on someones definition of nice. I seen rough ones sell in the $500 to $1000 range.
