70-72 Rear Spoiler (Wing) info needed

I know there has been more than one reproduction of the rear wing...so how exactly do you tell an original from a repop? I know the original had 3 studs per pedestal and some of the repops have only 2...but some of the repops now have the correct 3. Is there a part number anywhere on the pedestals or on the wing itself?? Anybody know how to tell if one is original?

thanks,
bob

wish I could tell you but on some parts even the repop has part numbers on them. are you trying to buy one that is claimed to be NOS? part of the problem now is that there are repop parts that people have made OEM looking stickers to pass the part off as NOS. this has happened with sheetmetal alot the last couple of years. anymore if someone cannot provide proof they bought sheetmetal new from an OEM then it is quite possibly not real.

I've got one waiting to be installed on my 1970.... but it's buried in the clutter of parts. I'll try to get to it and see if there's any part number in the pedistals. John
