Just purchase a reproduction OAI kit for my '69 442. The hoses I received are shiny black rubbery material, all one piece that I am supposed to cut in half. I was told that they are original OEM hoses and that they changed from cloth type to this rubber type sometime in early '69. Anyone have info to confirm this?

 

Sorry I can't help, I always assumed they were the cloth type.

 

GM did change to the plastic type at some point. Last year at the Lansing homecoming there was a guy with a set in the boxes for sale. I don't know when they made the change. Most restored cars I see have the cloth type.

 

Great. Thanks for the confirmation. I just had never heard of them being anything but cloth so when I got these I was a little suspicious if they were correct or not.
