67 442 Trim

I have a 67 442 that was built in Fremont and it has a chrome belt molding on the top of the doors and then on the top of the quarters back to the roof line. One of my customers has two 67 442's and they both do not have the belt line moldings, instead just having a chrome bead window fuzzy at the top of the door. I know that one of the two was built in Lansing. All three of the cars have been repainted, with mine being just masked off in 1980 with no moldings being removed, and the other two having all the moldings taken off to repaint them. Did all the cars come with the belt line moldings and mine was left on, and the other two left off during the repaint, or did some cars not have the molding?

I beleive the door top mouldings were optional, though I would not call these "belt-line" moldings, which would be lower.

Window sill moldings were an extra cost option available on any 67 Olds A body style regardless of series. Not real common but not rare either.

'67 belt-lines for sale?

My hardtop is from Fremont and has them also.

Does anyone have any '67 sets for sale?
Is the option known as B85 for 1967 too?
Are they difficult to remove?
Will they fit a post coupe the same?
I heard that nobody repops 'em; is that true?

Sorry about all the sudden ??s, I'm at a crossroads.
Thanks for your help,
Arin

Post coupe moldings are notched at the ends to clear the window frames. I do not know of any repops, but maybe some one else does. Henry

Look at the pix of my interior in my album. I have a '67 CS and I think it
has the chrome your describing. I was able to get replacement felts from
Fusick...I talked to Chris?? and he had them made up for me. They were easy enough to swap out.

I have a new set that doesn't go on the chrome like mine if anyone needs them. They are a very quality set.
