65 442 upper radiator hose recommendation

I have a very original 65 442 with power steering.

What is a good part number for an upper radiator hose?
NAPA, O'Reilly, auto zone, Gates?

My power steering belt is too close to the upper radiator hose. I've tried longer and shorter belts.
I have already installed new motor mounts.
What's a solution?

Thank you.

You did not specify so here are both upper hoses. (I'm guessing that you dont have ac since the hose is too close to power steering.)
without AC 385972
with AC 384188
both available from Fusicks, OPGI and The parts place. Probably other places also.
lower one is 389066 if you need to replace that one also.

I also have a 65 442 with the same situation. All you have to do is rotate both ends of the hose so it goes up away from the belt and then tighten the clamps in that position. You should be able to get about an inch of clearance.

TJ Pal, I believe that you have your hose on backwards. The long end should be at the engine and the short end at the radiator.
with the short end at the top it does not hang over the belt as much. (mine has ac so it is different but i found this on the internet)

also if you can find it, the Dayco 70495 hose is a direct replacement for the 385972 and may be cheaper.

Thanks cutlass guy. I bought this car last fall, the hose was on the car like it shows in my pics. It makes sense after looking at your pic. This is the best place learn about our cars.
