If your state actually lists the model, it'll probably say Cutlass Salon. The 442 was an option package on the Salon model. There are only 3 models designated by VIN - GR Cutlass Supreme, GM Cutlass Supreme Brougham and GK Cutlass Salon. Can't tell a 442 by the VIN.
